Since her feature debut opposite Warren Beatty in Shampoo in 1975, Carrie has been a compelling force in the film industry. Carrie attained international recognition as Princess Leia, a role that made her a cultural icon, in the box office sensation Star Wars and the smash hit sequels "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi".

Other acting credits include "When Harry Met Sally", "Garbo Talks", "The Man With One Red Shoe", "Hannah And Her Sisters", "The Burbs", "Austin Powers", "The Blues Brothers" and "This Is My Life".

On the literary front, Carrie became a sensation with The New York Times best seller, "Postcards From The Edge", for which she won the Los Angeles Pen Award for Best First Novel. Two additional best selling novels Surrender The Pink and Delusions Of Grandma followed.

Actress is working simultaneously on her fourth novel, and has just completed production on a new film; a comedy for ABC Pictures entitled "These Old Broads", starring her mother, Debbie Reynolds, Joan Collins, Shirley MacLaine and Elizabeth Taylor. "These Old Broads" premiered on February 12, 2001 on ABC-TV.

Carrie has recently begun writing a screenplay adaptation for Jerry Bruckheimer entitled, Confessions Of A Shopaholic, and has completed one of the next installments of HBO Pictures Emmy Award winning series "If These Walls Could Talk 3". She has written two screenplays based on her best sellers: "Postcards From The Edge", which starred Meryl Streep and Shirley MacLaine, and the upcoming "Surrender The Pink". Fisher has also been commissioned to write an original screenplay for Columbia Pictures.

As if that's not enough, Carrie continues to be one of the most sought-after script doctors in Hollywood.
